Enjoy International Travel on a Shoestring Budget

Making travel plans becomes easier when you realize that you don't have to spend a fortune anymore traveling to Europe or Abroad. Now you can travel in a nice style and on a reasonable budget. Plus I'm talking about visiting the most popular locations not off the beaten path somewhere.

Many people look into the cheap airfares, shop for low priced hotels and hold off on buying the expensive gifts when traveling internationally. However, they don't put a lot of thought into the season in which they are traveling thereby losing a lot of money to mother nature.

The first rule of thumb for budget seasonal travel is to understand that any travel that attracts a lot of tourists and is during the high season will be expensive. Now the opposite is also true. Low season is much more affordable but usually for good reasons. It could be hurricane season, fog over the mountains, or any number of mother nature reasons not to go.

Now it's time to talk about what is known as the "in-between season." This is a time that sits in-between both the high and low travel season. All the attractions are still wonderful to experience and the weather is good also.

During the in-between season the prices drop without taking the value away. Rates on everything from travel to adventure trips go way down because there is a lower demand. For example Europe is still really nice in the fall.

To determine these in-between times you need to look at the guidebooks or country specific websites. There you will find a description of when to go to your particular destination. You will also find information of when not to go. Now it is the time in-between these two times that you are looking for.

The in-between times are not full of people so you won't be shoulder-to-shoulder as you walk around plus you will not find all the restaurants closed due to no business. It is a nice time to visit and to create your own international adventures.

Here are some ideas that are built around the four seasons. Try to fit your travel in during these times and you will have fond lasting memories plus a large savings to boot.

Winter: While in the U.S. this is a time for holidays you can find great deals at tropical beaches until Christmas week. Due to a lower demand flights to Asia go down in price in the winter. In Japan and Korea for example this could mean experiencing snow covered temples and heated floors while you visit.

Spring: When it is spring here in the U.S. it is autumn in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa which means lower rates on air fares and lodging. March through May are great months to visit hot and dry countries like Morocco, Egypt or Jordan.
Summer: June through September are great times to visit and go on a safari in Kenya and Tanzania. The weather at this time is still cool and dry.

Fall: This is the best time to visit the Greek Islands and Turkey. The large cruise ships have left and the weather is still sunny and the hotels are in the mood to bargain.

Mid-October to mid-December marks the change from the wet season to the dry season in Costa Rica and Panama. This is the time to plan a great jungle trip before all the tourists arrive and drive the prices higher.

Now it's time for you to go and look into these travel adventures with your nearest travel agent. They can help to plan and execute the best time of your life.
